Mekhrojiddin Amonov, researcher of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, participated in the “II International Turkish Congress”, held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic with the aim of widely promoting the common heritage of the Turkic world, with an online lecture on the topic “Turkish manuscripts related to Sufism” .
In a lecture given at a session of Islamic sciences, the researcher analyzed rare written sources related to the teachings of Sufism, which were widespread in the Zarafshan valley in the 15th-19th centuries, including manuscripts, historical documents such as waqfs, irshodoma, genealogical, architectural and epigraphic monuments and focused on their order-related aspects. Although written sources on the history of Sufism during this period were written mainly in Arabic and Persian, the speaker consistently listed those written in Turkish and revealed their important aspects.
The lecture provided an opportunity to study the history of the Murshids of Sufism, determine their characteristics, and scientifically analyze the traditional religious ideas and beliefs of our ancestors, which have high spiritual and cultural value.
