“Sincerity, Love and Knowledge…”

The Vice-President of the Islamic Religious Society CORIES in Italy, Imam Yahya Sergio Pallavichi of Al-Wahid Mosque in Milan, recently published an article on the official website of COREIS, sharing his impressions of the international scientific-practical conference held in Samarkand to celebrate the 1155th anniversary of the birth of Imam Maturidi.

In the article titled “Sincerity, Love and Knowledge: A Gathering of Muslim Scholars in Samarkand” the event is portrayed not only as a religious, but also a spiritual and intellectual gathering. The article highlights the teachings of great Sunni Islamic scholars such as Imam Bukhari, Abu Hasan Ash’ari and Abu Mansur Maturidi, emphasizing their continued significance in the realm of religious knowledge today.

The article also specifically praises the efforts of the leadership of Uzbekistan, especially President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, in preserving spiritual heritage and supporting international religious dialogue. The thoughts of influential scholars from Egypt, Turkey, Jordan and the UAE, as well as excerpts from discussions on the teachings of Maturidism, are also cited.

The article mentions that the conference further showcased Samarkand’s role not only as a historical, but also as a modern religious and educational center.
