Partnerships Established with Two Centers

A joint delegation from Turkey’s Kırıkkale University and the Fuat Sezgin Foundation for the History of Islamic Science Research visited the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.

The guests were introduced with the Center’s activities, its scientific directions, museum, manuscript collection and international cooperation.

During the discussions between the delegation and the Center’s leadership, issues such as the further development of science and religious enlightenment, the study of Islamic civilization’s heritage, and building a strong spiritual and scientific foundation for future generations were addressed.

Furthermore, during the visit, memorandums of understanding were signed between the two parties. These documents aim to advance bilateral relations, facilitate joint scientific research, study archives and manuscripts, organize international conferences, prepare scientific publications, exchange specialists and support young researchers.

Both sides emphasized that this collaboration would expand opportunities to present the rich historical and scientific heritage to the global community, promote it widely and launch new initiatives in the field of the history of science.

During the visit, a roundtable discussion titled “Common Heritage and the Future: The History of Our Science” was held. The rector of Kırıkkale University, Professor Ersan Aslan, categorized the scientific treasures discovered in the Islamic world in a unique manner, based on existing realities. While the focus of the discussion was on the golden age of Islam, the common goal was to provide our youth with information about our past and prepare them for a bright future. May this collaboration bring success to all three institutions!
