As reported, a delegation consisting of leaders and employees of Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, Imam Moturidi International Scientific Research Center and High School for Hadith Science is visiting Malaysia.
On October 23, members of the delegation held a meeting at the Malaysian Institute of Islamic Understanding (IKIM) in the capital, Kuala Lumpur. It was attended by the leadership of the Center for Economic and Social Research and the Center for Scientific Research under the Institute.
During the dialogue, issues of cooperation between educational and research institutions of the religious and educational direction of Malaysia and Uzbekistan were discussed. In particular, agreements were reached on organizing conferences and seminars, publishing articles in scientific journals, preparing programs and broadcasts dedicated to the scientific heritage of great scholars who grew up in Mowarounnahr in TV and radio programs of the Institute, as well as publishing monographs on current topics.
The head of the institute, Muhammad Azam bin Muhammad Adil, noted that his trip to Uzbekistan was meaningful, that he was impressed by the ancient and rich history of our country, unique cultural heritage, traditions and values, national dishes. In his own words: “During the trip to Uzbekistan, I visited the resort of Amirsoy. It has a charming nature, which is not inferior in beauty to Switzerland. Malaysians love to go to such holiday destinations. However, they do not have enough information about the existence of mountainous, snowy recreation areas in Uzbekistan. If we inform Malaysians about such places, there is no doubt that many tourists will visit your country from here,” he said.
According to the visiting program, the delegation of Uzbekistan visited the Museum of Islamic Art. The management of the museum noted that it has cooperative relations with cultural institutions in Uzbekistan, and is pleased to participate in the formation of the concept of the Museum of the Center of Islamic Civilization. The delegation got acquainted with the exposition of the museum, in particular, with the historical objects and artifacts related to Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, the issue of organizing a mobile photo exhibition showcasing the ancient and rich history of Uzbekistan and the possibilities of pilgrimage tourism in the museum was discussed.
The next destination of the delegation was the University of Islamic Sciences. In a conversation with his professors and teachers, the Malaysian side expressed its interest in cooperation with educational and research institutions in the religious field in Uzbekistan.
