IDEOLOGICAL THREAT IS COUNTERED BY IDEOLOGICAL IMMUNITY

On November 17, Sh. Umarov and A. Mamadaliev, researchers of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, organized a promotional event on the topic “Islam – the religion of peace and enlightenment” at the Samarkand branch of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad Khorazmi.

On November 13-19, Professors, teachers, and students participated in the conference held as part of the “Week of Tolerance” announced in our country.

The speakers first spoke about the original ideas of peace and enlightenment of Islam and noted that in today’s conditions of the information age, it is becoming more difficult to prevent the spread of various destructive currents and alien ideas. In particular, users of social networks are easy to fall into their trap, because the Internet freely bypasses borders and other control services. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen enlightenment, increase political awareness, and strengthen ideological immunity to oppose alien ideas.

This was followed by discussions on the virtue of tolerance. The current reality, which is rapidly changing and the scale of moral threats is increasing day by day, shows that to strengthen social stability and economic prosperity, it is necessary to introduce the principles of tolerance in life. It is more important today than ever to prevent the representatives of different nationalities, ethnic groups, or religions from inciting, insulting, and disputing each other in other ways.

In particular, it is necessary not only to protect the information space with real information but also to widely promote the ideas of tolerance, to resist the destructive forces that are trying to change people’s worldviews by misinterpreting the conflicts happening in some “hot” places of the world.
