Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center was visited by a delegation led by the rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University Alpaslan Ceylan. Director of the Center Shovosil Ziyоdov welcomed the guests and introduced them to the activities of the museum and library. During the visit, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation took place.
The Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University, located in Bishkek, is one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Central Asia with over 6,500 students. Currently, this institution is among the top 1000 universities in the world. There are more than 100 Uzbeks among foreign students from Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Turkic countries, in total 20 countries. With 12 faculties, 1 college and 1 vocational college, Manas University has the same status as the state universities of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
The memorandum of cooperation between the center and the university was signed five years ago. Over the past time, many events have been held for cooperation between the two scientific institutions and joint projects have been implemented. For example, on 7-9, October, 2021 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in the collection of lectures of the international symposium dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Manas University on the topic “International family and values”, by the Deputy Director of the Center O. Mukhammadiev was published an article entitled “The issue of equality in Islam”.
Also, in cooperation with the university, an international scientific seminar was held on the topic “International experience in the study and translation of manuscripts.” In addition, Derya Idikurt, a researcher from the university, won the Imam Bukhari International Scholarship Program and will undertake a research internship at the Center. Earlier, the scientists of the Center took part in the international conference “Contribution of the scientists of Central Asia to the development of Islamic culture” at the theological faculty of the university.
At the ceremony, Rector of the University Alpaslan Ceylan noted that the signed document serves as a legal basis for raising cooperation to a new level and increasing the efficiency of scientific projects. The director of the center, Shovosil Ziyodov, noted that common interests create broad opportunities for achieving high results in cooperation.
