In October 2025, Indonesia’s prominent online publication “Kalimantan Post” published an article by Editor-in-Chief Ms. Eka Shanti Rofi, titled “IBISRC Gelar Kolaborasi Kelas Dunia, Termasuk Indonesia” (“The Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center Expands Its Global Cooperation Programs, with Indonesia Joining the Initiative”).
The article discusses the activities of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center (IBISRC), highlighting its global scientific collaboration efforts, particularly the development of partnerships with related institutions in Indonesia.
Samarqand is described in the article as a “historic city and the heart of knowledge and enlightenment,” while the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center is characterized as a “spiritual hub uniting scholars from different countries.” According to the author, in recent years the Center has become a leading platform for international academic dialogue and intercultural cooperation.

The material notes that the Center is currently engaged in major research initiatives and academic events, including collaborative projects involving scholars from Europe, Asia, and the Muslim world. It specifically highlights the international conference held in early October titled “Religion and Multilingualism: The Dissemination of the Qur’an and Islamic Literature in European and Asian Societies.”
The article cites a passage from the speech delivered by Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, who stated: “As an ancient city that once radiated the light of knowledge and enlightenment, Samarkand is once again becoming a focal point for dialogue between civilizations.” This quotation, the author notes, aptly reinforces the idea of Samarkand as a renewed center of intellectual and intercultural exchange.
It is further emphasized that Indonesian scholars are playing an active role in the Center’s initiatives aimed at fostering “world-class cooperation.”
The publication of this article in one of Indonesia’s leading media outlets not only signifies international recognition of the Center’s scientific endeavors, but also showcases Uzbekistan’s achievements in promoting Islamic scholarship, culture, and traditions of tolerance to the global community.
The same article also appeared in Kalimantan Post under the title “Transformasi Al-Qur’an dari Abad ke-15” (“The Transformation of the Qur’an Since the 15th Century”).
