A paper titled “Forming Advanced Islamic Education in Uzbekistan: The Harmony of Tradition and Modernity, and the Influence of Mahmudkhoja Behbudi” by Otabek Muhammadiyev, Deputy Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and Ashraf Ishroqi bin Jamil, a winner of the Center’s International Scholarship Program, has been published in “Al-Irshod” a scholarly journal of the Selangor Islamic University in Malaysia.
The article analyzes the development process of religious education in Uzbekistan from the Soviet era to the present, highlighting its complex history, the balance between state policies and societal needs, and the scientific and educational influence of figures like Mahmudkhoja Behbudi, representatives of the Jadid movement, in shaping the Islamic educational system.
