“Imam Bukhari’s Legacy: Contemporary Interpretation and Scientific Analysis”

Currently, Dr. Khayril Husaini bin Jamil, Associate Professor at the International Islamic University Malaysia and the recipient of the Imam Bukhari International Scholarship Program, presented his research findings at the Center.

In the presentation titled “Imam Bukhari’s Hadiths as an Institutional Source for Contemporary and Future Research,” the researcher emphasized the unique value of Imam Bukhari’s masterpiece, Al-Jami’ al-Sahih, in the field of hadith studies. He discussed the scientific and methodological foundations of the book, as well as its historical significance and its contribution to the development of Islamic thought over the centuries, highlighting its scholarly excellence.

As highlighted, the work is not only a collection of authentic hadiths today, but also a comprehensive academic school and a cornerstone for research in hadith studies, occupying a central place in educational programs, scholarly works, and discussions worldwide. The speaker emphasized the need to review Sahih al-Bukhari in the context of the contemporary academic environment, focusing on aligning traditional knowledge with new methodologies. He also noted the important role institutions like the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center play in this direction.
