On January 8, a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation was held via video conference between the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and the Center for the Study and Research of Manuscripts at Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi (Turkiye).
The event was attended by leaders and senior staff of the two institutions, who discussed the prospects for scientific and practical cooperation.
Shovosil Ziyodov, Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, emphasized the great importance of this cooperation, noting that it will create new opportunities for studying manuscripts, conducting scientific research, and communicating their results to the general public.
Dr. Sami Arslon, Director of the Center for the Study and Research of Manuscripts, noted that cooperation in the field of studying the history of manuscripts and their scientific significance will bring mutually beneficial results.
The memorandum set out tasks such as expanding cooperation in the field of scientific research, organizing joint conferences, scientific projects, certification programs, and symposiums in the field of manuscript study.
The cooperation initiative was put forward on April 18, 2024, during a visit by representatives of the Center for the Study and Research of Manuscripts to the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
