New publications contribute to the increase of knowledge of different cultures

A international scientific conference on “Imam Bukhari’s scientific heritage: modern research” was held at the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. The event was attended by the Deputy Director of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan Firdavs Halimov, the Rector of the Hadith Faculty Barot Amonov, Professor Shaykh Mahmud Hasan from Al-Azhar University (Egypt), graduates of the Faculty of Theology of Istanbul University (Turkey), recipients of the Imam Bukhari international scholarship, and employees of the Center.


The conference was opened by the Director of the Center, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Shovosil Ziyodov, who provided information about the research conducted by the employees and their successful results. The Center’s team presented the latest publications – translations and commentaries of Imam Bukhari’s works “Al-Adab al-Mufrad” and “Al-Adhkar” to the Uzbek language.

Participants of the conference evaluated the translation of these works into Uzbek as a historical event and noted that it would not only benefit Uzbekistan, but also all the peoples of the region in terms of intellectual and cultural enrichment.


During the event, participants praised the high achievements of the ongoing work at the Center and made important proposals for further enhancing scientific activities, especially in studying Imam Bukhari’s heritage through modern approaches.


At the end of the conference, a special certificate was awarded to Hikmet and Ayshe Gultegin, who had carried out scientific research at the Center within the Imam Bukhari international scholarship program. The scholarship recipients expressed their deep gratitude for the conditions and opportunities provided for their scientific research within the program. Imam Bukhari
