The Egyptian news site Daralmaref.com published an article entitled “Uzbekistan is preparing for the opening of the magnificent Imam Bukhari complex in Samarkand in 2025” based on an interview with Tоhir Evadullayev, head of the manuscripts and museum department of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center.
According to the Center’s information service, the article details the enormous construction work taking place in the city of Khoja Ismail, including the reconstruction of the Imam Bukhari complex according to the project, the hotels being built, and the conditions created for the local population and foreign visitors.
The article highlights the current state of cooperation between the center and the Egyptian Al-Azhar University, and the agreements between religious and educational institutions in the field of science, education and religious affairs reached during the visit of Al-Azhar Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Tayyib to the center in March. It was noted that online lectures and book presentations and major prestigious conferences are held with the participation of researchers from the two schools.
During the interview, T. Evadullaev focused on the goals of the Center, the results of scientific activities, the study and research of the scientific heritage of scientists, the work of translating the works of Imam Bukhari and other scientists into the Uzbek language, as well as copies of manuscripts collected from world book collections.
The Сenter’s researcher also drew attention to the prospects for pilgrimage tourism in our country, as well as the contribution of such Movaranahr scholars as Imam Moturidi, Imam Nasafi, Bahauddin Naqshband, Imam Termizi, to the development of Islamic sciences and their heritage, especially Kusam ibn Abbas, the cousin of the Prophet, came to Samarkand for widespread propaganda of our religion. T. Evadullaev proudly mentioned that his grave is in our country.
The article also includes information provided by Yakubjon Khazratkulov, a specialist at the Samarkand Regional Restoration Center, about the ongoing work to improve shrines in our country.
