GLOBALIZATION REQUIRES THE FULFILLMENT OF URGENT TASKS

An international scientific and practical conference on “Problems of understanding Islam in the process of globalization” was held at the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. The conference was attended by the Director of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, Shovosil Ziyodov, together with representatives of state and public organizations of our country, heads and researchers of scientific institutions of Turkey, Great Britain, Pakistan, Malaysia, and our director spoke on the topic “Interfaith dialogue and enlightenment against ignorance in the Muslim community.

The speaker mentioned about the urgent challenges facing Muslim states in the context of globalization. Among them are the preservation and embellishment of the ancestral heritage for future generations, the further strengthening of the place of national and religious values in public life, the preservation of cultural identity in the face of a rapidly changing situation in the world. A large place was also given to the practical basis of ensuring religious tolerance. The speaker also noted that the attitude to religion and religious values is radically changing in modern Uzbekistan, where openness and new approaches are noticeable in all spheres of political and public life.

The participants of the conference agreed to regularly hold scientific and practical conferences together with partner organizations in this regard, due to the need to expand the thinking of the younger generation in the modern information age, understanding the essence of religion, the correct understanding of Islamic teachings, to form immunity against various destructive ideas in the minds of young people.
