A delegation headed by Dr. Farhan Nizami, Professor, historian and Islamic studies scholar at the University of Oxford, and Director of the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies, paid a visit to the Imam Bukhari International Scientific-Research Center.
The guests became acquainted with the Center’s museum and the exhibition dedicated to the scholarly heritage of Imam Bukhari. They were provided with information about the main areas of the Center’s activities, its ongoing scientific and educational work, publishing projects, and practical measures undertaken in the study of manuscripts.
During the dialogue, emphasis was placed on the significance of fostering amicable relations between scholarly institutions and on the value of collaborative efforts in the study and international dissemination of Imam Bukhari’s intellectual legacy. Particular attention was given to the evolving inter-institutional partnerships, notably in the fields of manuscript research, academic inquiry into Islamic history and heritage, and the development of frameworks for systematic information exchange.
The visit was conducted in a cordial and constructive atmosphere.
