Oman’s “Asdaa Oman” internet publication published material about the meeting with the members of the delegation from Uzbekistan, who recently visited the Sultanate.
The article began with an interview with Firdavs Halimov, deputy head of the Center for Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan. It discussed the purpose of the visit, the prospects for further expansion of scientific cooperation between our countries, the possibilities of exchanging electronic manuscripts, and the agreements reached on the preparation of draft memorandums of understanding.
In the interview with Barot Amonov, a researcher at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center and Doctor of Philosophy in History, he spoke about the work being done to deeply study and widely promote the scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari, Imam Moturidi, Imam Termizi, and many other great ancestors who made a significant contribution to the development of Islamic sciences in our country. The focus was specifically on the reforms implemented in the religious and educational sphere. The interview also highlighted the activities of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, which was established in 2017 by the initiative of the head of our country, and its work related to the research of translated works, published books, and rare manuscripts. B. Amonov also provided information about similar centers and the School of Hadith Science, established in the last five years, and noted that these scientific institutions have common goals in many areas, especially the study of manuscripts written by Movarounnahr scholars.
During the interview, the delegation highly praised the activities of the National Archives and Document Preservation Department of the Sultanate and noted that its head, Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Duyani, was invited to Uzbekistan.
In the article, the editors recognized the high importance of the visit in strengthening bilateral cooperation and organizing mutual experience exchange in the field of document storage and archival work.
