On August 8 a video conference was held in Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan with Secretary-General of the Islamic Research Academy at Al-Azhar University of Egypt.
Director of the Center Sh. Ziyodov opened the video conference and noted the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyayev and the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdulfattah al-Sisi in Tashkent in September 2018 marked a new era in bilateral relations between the two countries and cooperation has been consistently developing in all areas, including the study and promotion of the heritage of science and ancestors.
The video conference was a logical continuation of the meeting of an official delegation of Uzbekistan with a prominent Egyptian academician on July 15 in Cairo.
Academician Muhammad Nazir Iyad made a lecture on his research – the life and work of Imam Maturidi.
During the video conference, the sides exchanged views on the study and promotion of the legacy of the great scholars of Maveraunnahr, who contributed to the development of Islamic civilization and science.
