The photo exhibition was held about scientific travel places of Imam Bukhari at the IBISRC

This year on July 19, an International Photo exhibition was held at the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center. An exhibition dedicated to the birth of the great muhaddith Imam Bukhari and the manuscript copies of “Sahih Al-Bukhari’s” book. The oldest copy of the “Sahih al-Bukhari”, the masterpiece of the muhaddith was exhibited there. At the same time, the second important exhibition was the photo exhibition of the  “World Islamic cities“.

The photo exhibition was organized on the basis of historical monuments of Bukhara, Kesh, Khiva, Mecca, Medina, Basra, Kufa, Baghdad, Damascus, Kayseri, Ascalon, Balh, Marw, Naysabur, Isfahan, Qazvin, and E’zob. These cities are based on the map of the scientific journey of Imam Bukhari. Participants of the event familiarized themselves with the manuscripts of Sahih Al-Bukhari and also acquainted with the historical image of the cities, where great scholar Imam Bukhari had studied.

At the event, the Deputy Director of the IBISRC, Ph.D. in History Sh. Umarov informed a speech in his report on the life and scientific heritage of Imam Bukhari. In his 40 years of study, Imam Bukhari collected 600,000 hadiths, of which 200,000 hadiths were no Saheeh and 100,000 Saheeh hadiths and detailed historical information on the cities in which scholar had traveled.

Also, most of the manuscript copies in the manuscript fund of the world today, undoubtedly, are the works of Imam Bukhari “Sahih al-Bukhari”. In the fund of the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Center, 140 copies of the book “Sahih al-Bukhari” have interested for the participants of the event.

The author of the international photo exhibition “World Islamic Cities”, a well-known Turkish photographer Orhan Durgut, answered questions of the participants about each picture. The author pointed out that in his works, he took a photo of all the cities of the Islamic city, emphasizing that he reflected the historical building and sacred pillars in 60 Islamic cities around the world and he said that it will be a gift to IBISRC photos of all Islamic cities.

The exhibition was of great interest to all, and it was also important that this event was held with the birthday of Imam Bukhari.
